Hell Rell still doing it without the Set. I mess with it because I can't just be fake and not mess with em because of what happened with The Diplomats, I always messed with Hell Rell. Dropping this video for "Bullets and Gunsmoke," Hell Rell keeps it original with the beat selection and rhymes. One thing I did notice though was the dude quoted Jay-Z in this song. I'm only saying this because of the ongoing beef from 2005 to about 2007 with Jay-Z and Cam'Ron, and it kind of makes it seem like "why are you quoting a dude you don't like?" The 52^nd annual Grammy Awards aired last night and proved that without Kanye, award shows can be a bit of a bore.

The night started off quite energetic with performances by the always entertaining Lady Gaga and the Diva herself, Beyonce; but the night slowly got me to yawn status when Green Day performed. Although I have mad respect for their music, the performance last night was a tad bit boring.

And then there was Pink. I have to give the singer her props for being able to belt out a tune all while hanging upside down drenched in water, but give it up, girl! We have seen that same act too many times!

As for the Michael Jackson tribute, it was a nice way to pay respects to the King of Pop. Some of the best in the business came together to sing in honor of MJ. Usher, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Celine Deon and Smokey Robinson all sang beautifully, but what was with the 3D affects? Supposedly if you had 3D glasses, you could see images projected in the third demotion from your television. However, according to tons of posts on twitter it didn’t matter if you had the glasses or not. The blurriness of the images made people’s eyes hurt a great deal. I actually had a pair of 3D glasses left over from a viewing of one of these recent 3D flicks and still did not get that affect. I ended up taking them off due to instant headache! Great attempt guys, but maybe try a little harder next time if it involves audience participation and the usage of props.

Soon after, the end of the show was nearing. Thank god for the performance by Drake, Lil Wayne, Eminem and Travis Barker of Blink 182. I can honestly say this was one of the best performances of the night. Detroit native Eminem, pretty much stole the show with his sick words and cold flow. There is nothing like a white boy who can rap! Good thing producers saved the “Forever” performance toward the end, otherwise everyone would have fallen asleep and not seen little Taylor Swift win the Big one – Album of the Year.

The young pop/country singer walked away with four Awards last night. Although she deserves a big round of applause, I think the general consensus is that many other talents last night were brutally robbed!!

So what is in store for next year’s awards? We can only hope that next year, those who deserve to win actually win.

The genius' at the Apple company is at it again. Recently, Apple has released new info about the iPad and I have to say that the shit is cold as hell. Best believe I'ma try and cop me one of em but back to the main story the new iPad may be the new laptop computer and the new phone. Starting at $499 for the 16 gig model (the price does get higher dependin on how many gigs you want) the iPad lets you view web pages on one whole screen, send and recieve e-mail w/ the qwerty keypad, lets you view photos on it (looks like its in a picture frame while in full-screen view), of course a video feature that lets you watch movies in HD and also T.V. shows. The features is jus way too many to name so y'all gone have to go and look it up yourself. But don't expect to find one in stores anytime soon. The first one's ship out in 60 days (2 months if you wanna make it a shorter number) lol

First off...we're not dead. Second off...don't think that because we've taken this break yall can just do what yall want lol. FreshMen is back to work for the third mixtape Breath Of Fresh Air. The video seems like it would be so much more dope had the Lebron highlights not been in there...but that's just my opinion...plus its not really bad but I could do without them. Gamer-Film Review

I realize I'm kinda late w/ the review this week, my fault, but I saw the movie Gamer which stars rapper Ludacris and Gerard Butler, the King guy from the movie 300 (I never saw most 300 so I don't know his real name). Gamer is a science fiction thriller action film set in the future but in an unknown time and is about convicts who are controlled in an online game by other human beings as players. One of the main characters, Kable (played by Gerard Butler) is one such convict and is the most known player in the game. Over the course of the game, Kable must find out why he ended up in prison and save his family. This is where Ludacris comes in but I'm gonna leave it at that. I don't wanna spoil the film. Overall, this was an okay movie. Kind of weird for my taste but could have had more action scenes.

When I saw this song title and the artist who it featured...I kinda thought it was an old video of some song I never listened to on one of these 3's cds...but this is actually new! The Broad Street Bully, Philly Freezer, and C The Young Gunna have all attempted to bring it back with this one. I believe this is going on the new Beanie Sigel album that has dropped today called "The Broad Street Bully." Although nobody has heard from any of these guys really in a bout a year and a half, since none of them are really on Rocafella anymore it seems hard for them to get as much publicity as they used to without Jay-Z and Dame Dash behind them. Check this out also the beat was credited to Konvict Music, when Drakes buddy Boi-1da suposedly produced the beat hmmmm funny stuff going on around here. The fact that there hasnt been any legal issues here is amazing, because you have for big named artist on this one track, which is also the sountrack to Lebron James movie, how could they get away with that with out a law suit?? i actually have a couple of guess to what might have happened, Maybe Kardnall only leased it off of soundclick, and Akon sang KOOONNNVIICTTT MUSSSICCCCC on it. The Final Destination-Film Review

I also saw The Final Destination over the weekend and I have to say that its the best one in the series, although critics have given it generally negative reviews. For the most of you that have seen the other films, its the same story just a different setting. The main character named Nick has a premonition while him and his friends are at a race track until he has a premonition about him, his friends, and a few other people dying violent deaths. As in the other films, he's trying ti find a way to break Death's design. Overall, I thought this was a good movie but if you have a weak stomach, stay at home.

So this past weekend, the crew and I went to go see the new Halloween movie by Rob Zombie. Besides the extreme amount of gore in the film, it could have been a better story line and a better ending. Its the same as Rob Zombie's last Halloween film. Michael is tryin to get his sister back, for unknown reasons, but this time he is also seeing visions of his mother and his younger self giving him directions. The amount of gore in this movie is excessive as well so if you got a week stomach, I suggest you stay home or go see somethin else.

Soooo, I think its safe to say that every Thursday Tikis Bobs in downtown Pontiac bangs! The promotors are IlyGang and DJ MoBeatz is on the 1's and *chicka chicka* 2's. Air Jordan Retro XI ([11] Space Jam) - The most anticipated Jordan for 2009 is the Space Jam 11's from the movie "Space Jam" in 1996. It will have been a while for many...and others first times (including muah). This shoe is supposedly extra limited so this might be a hard find. Although Burned Rubber is to recieve a good amount so I'd check there...but other spots such as Mr. Alans and Athletes Foot will probably get a few. That's for my Michigan people lol.

Air Jordan Retro XII ([12] Flu Game) - These 12's are pretty nice as well. I'd rather the black on the shoe been leather but nubuck is alright I guess. The "Flu Game" gets its name from the game Jordan played in 1997 with flu like symptoms...and scored 38 points. If you can see on the tongue there is a small face with its eyes x'd out to seem out of it as Jordan was after the game and the Bulls carried him off of the court. The sick face is also towards the back bottom of the shoe with the numbers 97 and 38 surrounding it.

Air Jordan Retro VI ([6] Doernbecher) - The illest VI's that i've seen since the olympic flags. These are to represent the Doernbecher Childrens Hospital. They had one pair of Air Jordan Retro II's (2) to represent the Hospital about two years ago. These are a lot nicer than the previous Doernbecher Jordans. The colorway is a lot better...plus they're VI's. Sixes rarely drop so this is a good time to get your hands on some. Although there will be a series of VI's to release in the winter of 2010 so be on the lookout.

Inglourious Basterds-Film Review

This past weekend, the movie Inglourious Basterds premiered and I must say, this is one of the best Quentin Tarantino films that I've seen in a long time, maybe even the best. The movie is broken up into chapters, much like Tarantino's other film Pulp Fiction. It follows a group of soldiers called the Inglourious Basterds made up of Jewish American soldiers led by an American named Aldo Raines (played by Brad Pitt) whose sole purpose is to take revenge against the Nazi's during World War II. The film also follows other characters and in the end, they all have their character stories intertwine with one another. You have to be a Tarantino fan in order to enjoy this film but I would recommend you go see it even if your not.
