Family Matters vol.2: Promotion

The Fam is on the move for the first time in a long time! APeezie, Trade V and V.I.P. chilling on a cold day in January. The video features a new song with APeezie called ILL'N featuring AssTon Kusher. The video just features APeezie, AssTon Kusher will have a video coming soon. Also the video features a snippet from some new Trade V off of the up and coming album "Mind Control." Definitely check it out. Family Matters vol.2 is on the way Feb/Mar. Be on the lookout!

The genius' at the Apple company is at it again. Recently, Apple has released new info about the iPad and I have to say that the shit is cold as hell. Best believe I'ma try and cop me one of em but back to the main story the new iPad may be the new laptop computer and the new phone. Starting at $499 for the 16 gig model (the price does get higher dependin on how many gigs you want) the iPad lets you view web pages on one whole screen, send and recieve e-mail w/ the qwerty keypad, lets you view photos on it (looks like its in a picture frame while in full-screen view), of course a video feature that lets you watch movies in HD and also T.V. shows. The features is jus way too many to name so y'all gone have to go and look it up yourself. But don't expect to find one in stores anytime soon. The first one's ship out in 60 days (2 months if you wanna make it a shorter number) lol

What's To Come?

First off...we're not dead. Second off...don't think that because we've taken this break yall can just do what yall want lol. FreshMen is back to work for the third mixtape Breath Of Fresh Air. You may have heard "Showtime" by us if you voted for us for Indie Artist Of The Week on http://www.jrpow.blogspot.com, but we've have much more to offer. We've really just been grinding out "Not Your Average" to the point where people are like "alright what's next?" Well just to let you know it's coming this summer so be patient. Me and V.I.P. have been working with the ILL-A-FAMILY trying to finish the sophmore ILL-A-FAM mixtape "Family Matters vol.2," so don't think that we've just been slacking...because we never are. We'll have new material out probably around March or April. We'll have some new features for you on this new tape along with some of our usual's. Different song concepts than "Not Your Average" had...we normally go by the title. We treat our mixtapes like albums, quality wise, how much heart we put in every verse, and make sure that it's what you all want. But yea be on the look out for more FreshMen as well as the new ILL-A-FAM mixtape. Shout out to the whole family: V.I.P., J-Styles, AssTon KusHer, Trade V, Mitch Boston, Ashilee Einstein, J-aRah and Trev D. Rick Ross - Mafia Music 2

The Teflon Don is on the way. Rick Ross is back with the new song Mafia Music 2. Produced by the hometown Olympiks, Ross laces this one with great lyrics and a great story as usual. Also Ross got Chrisette Michelle for background vocals...NICE! I can actually say that the beef with him and 50 didn't really change anything to his music...as it did for some other artist. Hopefully it didn't kill his fame either, this dude is too nice lyrically to not be heard. Check it out though Rick Ross with Mafia Music 2.

Smokey! Curren$y has been dropping some sick tracks recently. This, hopefully of the upcoming mixtape Smokey Robinson, is a real nice track called "Breakfast." FreshMen Has Done It Again!

When it comes to these competitions...is it really a contest with us? Nah I'm just foolin', we've taken the cake on another one. http://Jrpow.blogspot.com hosted a Indie artist of the week poll with us, TGL, Lyric and Yung Snazz. It was a real tough race between us and TGL. They had a beat for a while, but are fans couldn't allow it. We came out the victor with 367 votes to TGL's 333. Not to come off cocky or anything but...it was bound to happen. Shoutout to Young Jay'Reall Pow for hosting and getting all of us support, and shout to all of the contestants...although there is only one who holds the trophy we're all winners...because this is a movement.

Why I mess with this song...I don't know. Maybe dude picked up on his rap skills a bit, and I'm just catching on to it. The song is alright though, it's just him rapping from start to finish, no hooks or anything like that. Don't know if dude is working on any new music but hopefully this dude is doing more spitting than dancing now...because that shit is played. Check it out though Soulja Boy - The Best.

Big Sean - A Million Dollars

The G.O.O.D. music, Finally Famous signed Detroit artist Big Sean is also doing it. From the well put together mixtape UKNOWBIGSEAN the song A Million Dollars video has just been released. The song is about really just coming from nothing to something, the video explains it well also. The video also features a cameo from G.O.O.D. music artist GLC. Jay Electronica - Exhibit A (Teaser)

My dude Jay Electronica has really been making moves. His popular song Exhibit A, which I've been banging ever since the winter of 2009 is finally getting its video.
