Its finally here. ILL-A-FAM (consisting of APeezie, V.I.P., TradeV, Asston Kusher, Mitch Boston, J-Styles, Ashilee Einstein and J-Arah) is finally dropping the long awaited mixtape "Family Matters vol.2." Although it took long, it is worth every minute to listen to. Every song is great, there are different combination's of ILL-A-FAM artist on almost every song and the mixtape is well put together. Similar to the FreshMen mixtape, this one will have skits as well, although not as many. The Midwestern group is on the move with solo projects as well. Individuals such as TradeV, APeezie, Asston Kusher, V.I.P. and Mitch Boston will all be dropping solo mixtapes in the next few weeks as well as next month. He will hit up East Lansing and perform for Spartans and friends on April 14, 2010 then travel to Rochester to give a concert at OU on April 15. Tickets for these concerts go on sale March 1 at Ticket Master locations. University students and staff are eligible for pre-sale tickets.

Hell Rell - Bullets and Gunsmoke

Hell Rell still doing it without the Set. I mess with it because I can't just be fake and not mess with em because of what happened with The Diplomats, I always messed with Hell Rell. Dropping this video for "Bullets and Gunsmoke," Hell Rell keeps it original with the beat selection and rhymes. One thing I did notice though was the dude quoted Jay-Z in this song. I'm only saying this because of the ongoing beef from 2005 to about 2007 with Jay-Z and Cam'Ron, and it kind of makes it seem like "why are you quoting a dude you don't like?" Although, things could have calmed down since then so I'm not going to say anything. But check it out though Hell Rell with his new video for "Bullets and Gunsmoke."

The Fam is on the move for the first time in a long time! APeezie, Trade V and V.I.P. chilling on a cold day in January. The video features a new song with APeezie called ILL'N featuring AssTon Kusher. The video just features APeezie, AssTon Kusher will have a video coming soon. What's To Come?

First off...we're not dead. Second off...don't think that because we've taken this break yall can just do what yall want lol. FreshMen is back to work for the third mixtape Breath Of Fresh Air. You may have heard "Showtime" by us if you voted for us for Indie Artist Of The Week on http://www.jrpow.blogspot.com, but we've have much more to offer. We've really just been grinding out "Not Your Average" to the point where people are like "alright what's next?" Well just to let you know it's coming this summer so be patient. Me and V.I.P. have been working with the ILL-A-FAMILY trying to finish the sophmore ILL-A-FAM mixtape "Family Matters vol.2," so don't think that we've just been slacking...because we never are. We'll have new material out probably around March or April. We'll have some new features for you on this new tape along with some of our usual's. Different song concepts than "Not Your Average" had...we normally go by the title. We treat our mixtapes like albums, quality wise, how much heart we put in every verse, and make sure that it's what you all want. But yea be on the look out for more FreshMen as well as the new ILL-A-FAM mixtape. Rick Ross - Mafia Music 2

The Teflon Don is on the way. Rick Ross is back with the new song Mafia Music 2. Produced by the hometown Olympiks, Ross laces this one with great lyrics and a great story as usual. Also Ross got Chrisette Michelle for background vocals...NICE! I can actually say that the beef with him and 50 didn't really change anything to his music...as it did for some other artist.
